PD&MS is delighted to have secured a Silver Award for Healthy Working Lives. The initiative, which is run by NHS Grampian, recognises companies for the work they undertake to ensure a healthier working life for all personnel.

PD&MS believes in supporting the health and wellbeing of our personnel, ensuring safety is at the forefront of everything we do and is therefore delighted that our hard work and efforts have been formally recognised.

Despite things being hard in the industry lately, PD&MS is proud that the importance we place on health and safety in the workplace has continued to be as strong as ever. We currently boast over 7 years LTI free and are delighted that our Health and Safety culture keeps going from strength to strength.

Having maintained our Bronze status for several years, PD&MS embarked on the journey to secure our silver award. In the past year, this has involved various initiatives such as raising awareness in drugs and alcohol, effects of smoking and a large focus on the importance of mental health. As well as this, the HWL team arranged several activities such as lunch time walks and the Healthy Bake Off which, after the success of it in the Aberdeen office, travelled all the way across the international waters to our Baku office.

We have also secured discounts for our personnel on various healthy eating packages, corporate gym memberships and special offers as well as discounts at local spas.

PD&MS will continue to work hard to maintain our Silver status which will be championed by our “Healthy Working Lives Committee” who constantly engage with our wider workforce to welcome suggestions and ideas for areas of focus.

The HWL assessor advised that PD&MS has truly gone above and beyond what was expected of a Silver award so a huge well done goes to Ale Ramirez and the HWL team for their continued commitment and focus on our Healthy Working Lives.

In true PD&MS style, we have no intentions of getting complacent and look forward to working on new, upcoming initiatives allowing us to maintain our Silver status.
