PD&MS held its first annual awards ceremony at the Douglas Hotel on 20th December 2018 to recognise participation in its Core Values (PD&MS Genes).

Awards were presented for individual Genes Champion of the year and Genes Team of the Year for 2018.

The award ceremony marked the second anniversary of PD&MS rejuvenated Core values which were launched in January 2017. PD&MS CEO, Simon Rio said “We identified some time back that we had to ensure that we never lost or diluted the behavioural attributes and work ethos which has contributed to our success since inception of PD&MS in 2002, as we continued on our growth journey.  We decided to refresh our core values and put in place a mechanism that would allow us to measure workforce participation and the effectiveness and impact of our people working in line with our core values. This has been our biggest area of investment and focus in the past 2 – 3 years and the outcomes have been exceptional”.

PD&MS workforce has made over 1100 Genes nominations since January 2017, recognising great individual and team contribution in the business, which in turn has delivered added value to its clients. Simon Rio added, “Participation in our Genes scheme has exceeded expectations and 2018 saw a 40% increase in participation across the business from its maiden year”.

Winners for 2018 were Jason Meldrum, IT Systems Assistant who scooped the individual Genes Champion of the year award and the team award went to the PD&MS Project Delivery team working on the Spirit Energy DP3 and DP4 Decommissioning project, led by Mark O’Rourke.
