On Friday 10th May, PD&MS held our first corporate cycle day consisting of a Tour of the Deveron Valley – a 45 mile road cycle through rural Aberdeenshire which started and finished in Turriff.

Following bacon rolls and a safety brief, the day commenced with cyclists departing in 3 groups from the Fife Arms Hotel in Turriff in the morning followed by a pit stop for the staple cyclist stop (coffee and scone) at the Old School in Boyndie – a café and visitor centre operated by The Boyndie Trust to provide development and job coaching for adults with special needs. As part of our event we were delighted to make a charitable donation to the Boyndie Trust. The groups then headed back towards the Fife Arms Hotel on quiet roads with the Deveron River providing a stunning backdrop. The rolling terrain coupled with a late sting in the tail with 5 miles to go then a downhill finish into Turriff ensured that all finished the 45 mile loop with a smile on their face.

We would like to give a special thank you to the Fife Arms Hotel and The Old School at Boyndie for their fantastic hospitality on the day.

Within our PD&MS GENES, a key company value is Engage our Partners where we look to build strong relationships with both our clients and the wider supply chain and we were delighted that so many of our valued clients were able to join us for the event and we would also like to thank each of them for the part they played in making this a fantastic event.

The day was a resounding success and we look forward to our next outing!
