PD&MS
PD&MS has been engineering solutions in the energy industry and beyond since 2002. More than 20 years on, our ability to combine innovative ideas with technical expertise still sets us apart. We keep growing in stature and scope too, having acquired Synergie Environ and Optimus Plus (Aberdeen), thereby adding specialist engineering, consultancy, low-carbon and cleantech knowledge to our existing expertise in the EPCC space.
In 2023, we confirmed our acquisition by RSK Group – a global leader in the delivery of sustainable solutions. This further boosted our ambition to be at the forefront of producing creative, practical answers for the biggest challenges that businesses now face.
As a flexible, full service provider committed to supporting the energy transition, we deliver high-quality project work across the entire lifecycle of assets within the oil and gas, renewables and nuclear sectors. Our adaptable know-how and transferable skills are engaged in various adjacent fields too, whether that’s marine and manufacturing concerns, or help for pharmaceutical and defence clients. Synergie Environ
PD&MS acquired specialist engineering firm Synergie Environ in 2021 to further bolster and enhance its decarbonisation capabilities to support the energy sector’s net zero emission ambitions.
For more than a decade, award-winning Glasgow-based consultancy SEL has been instrumental in developing innovative solutions to cut carbon consumption and cost across a range of industries including energy, power generation and storage as well as pharmaceuticals, waste and sustainable material, and transportation. During this time, it has supported more than 500 businesses resulting in an estimated cumulative carbon reduction impact in excess of 1 million tonnes of CO2. The firm has also won several business and industry accolades for its achievements.

Optimus Plus
PD&MS completed the acquisition of Optimus in January 2022, an Aberdeen based Engineering Consultancy who delivers market leading front end engineering and design services. Optimus has a fantastic workforce and is a truly remarkable engineering consultancy with over 20 years’ experience of providing innovative front-end engineering solutions across the oil and gas and renewables sector.
Optimus has over two decades of experience, providing innovative solutions across a range of end markets and this provides greater strength and depth to PD&MS Group as it continues to grow in the energy and industrial sectors.

Why PD&MS
Robust technical integrity and strong quality, health and safety performance are central to our principles too. This is evidenced by more than eight million value-adding onshore and offshore man-hours, liquidated over a 12-year period, without a lost time safety-related incident (LTI).
